jay/dan the only question i would like answered is this.it is a fact henrich used a dimaggio bat--he stated this in his 1992 book "five o'clock lightning" and also in the sabr pub. the national pastime #19 1999,in his article "the last yankee".how can one diferentiate his own bat,from a dimaggio.they are the same. it would seem the liklihood of a bat found in his attic was one of his own. also, there is no mention in the bk or his article about being given a streak bat by joe dimaggio. i would think that since both covered "the streak"(and there was no better witness).and with the high acclaim mr. henrich had for joe d. he simply would not just forget about this bat until dave bushing came along and jogged his memory. thanks guys and enjoy the experience,can't wait for the story.
