The Dropo is from the 1951 Topps Current All-Stars Series.

In addition to the 1951 Blue and Red Back game cards, Topps also produced a series of yellow-bordered team cards with black and white pictures, and two series of die-cut players with red backgrounds. These two series are known as the "Connie Mack" and "Current" All-Stars. The Current All-Stars are considered some of the toughest, nationally distributed, post-WWII baseball cards and are seldom seen in top grade with the backgrounds intact.
