Default Slightly OT: newspaper in crowd at Polo Grounds

It's a long shot, but does anyone see anything at all in this newspaper page that is recognizable, either in the text or illustration? I'm looking for clues as to which month/day the paper is from.

The photo is an extreme blowup from a snapshot taken at a Giants game at the Polo Grounds, likely 1910. Nearly everyone in the stands is wearing a bowler so it must be either early or late in the season. I've searched all the major newspaper archives that I know of and can't find anything that provides real clues. I've also messed with sharpening and contrast in photoshop and the scan/blowup is about as readable as it will ever be.

The main headline reads ...SPORT RIGHT UP TO THE MINUTE. Near the hands at the bottom of the scan I think I can (maybe) see the words ANNOUNCE and GIANTS.....or not

I'm hoping someone might be able to decipher something else that I can't.
