I always have cracked them out, but you have to be willing to take whatever decision they make at that point (including not encapsulating). For instance if you have an SGC 50 would you be ok if PSA grades it a 3? If not then you might as well keep it in the SGC 50 holder. If you feel that PSA grades are more accurate and don't care that the cards grade may change then crack it out.

That wasn't the question. Those who slab cards know there are those who don't. If they aren't soliciting an opinion that has that as an option than move on and let each collector collect the way they chose.
