Jason L"Mostly I remember the commuter parking lots nearby my town, and the chalk that police put on the tires to identify the cars that nobody ever came back to."
I was there, I saw more than I wanted to, I ran faster than I've ever run before, I knew people that died, my brother-in-law was supposed to be on one of the planes before he cancelled the trip at the last minute, I was due in a meeting in the North Tower the next day, I will never forget the smell in the subway the first day they opened it up again, and I saw a few of those cars you speak of...but reading that just got to me all over again. I've never seen more meaning attached to a parked car...so true.
What a crappy, crappy, crappy day that was. A tremendous reminder that we here on earth still don't have this "living in peace" thing down yet. someday...
