Default A. Marsans Baseball Contract 1916 Cuban Player

Posted By: davidcycleback

A 1916 Branch Rickey autograph alone is worth fair money. My guess would be over $1,000 for the contract. That's just a guess, knowing that the two signatures each are valuable and baseball contracts are always in demand. Also, contracts are safer items authenticity-wise, as a contract requires that, unless specifically noted, the real person signs it. If the real people don't sign a contract it isn't legally binding, and the player wants the salary and the owner wants the player.

Duly note that I'm not offering an authenticity opinion on the specific item. I have seen and owned a few early 1900s MLB contracts and they folded up distinctly, not unlike folded up road maps.
