Hi!
Having not posted in awhile...so I would like to introduce myself and share my interests.
I began collecting baseball cards in 1964 until the late 1960s. I sold that collection in the early 1980s at my first baseball card show. Then...I started collecting raw cards some of which some unknowingly were altered. After being "burned" a few times...I was happy to see the introduction of graded/slabbed cards in the early 1990s. I became serious about high end cards around 2000 collecting baseball cards of HOFs from 1953-80. Having recently retired...I am nearing the end of my collection which had no particular end point in sight when I started...just collected cards I found to have eye appeal or to be works of art.
My favorite years are:
1953 Bowman Color (first all color photographic sports card set produced)
1955 Topps (year I was born)
1957 (Topps first attempt at an all color photographic sports card set)
1962 (beautiful if high end, ugly otherwise)
1963 (my all-time favorite set)
1965 (like the design with pennants)
1967 (like 1957, a very clean design)
