Default Rare cards of Jewish players

Posted By: Jim Clarke

If memory serves me correctly, there is a debate about this player being Jewish. Here is the description I got from the Mastro write up:
"Stephen Behel had a brief and less than spectacular career. In fact, his Major League experience consisted of nine games in 1884 with Milwaukee of the ill-fated Union Association and a half-season with the 1886 New York Metropolitans. Certainly, it was not his statistical accomplishments that make this card of Stephen Behel so desirable to collectors. Rather, it is the fact that this particular card of Behel is generally regarded as the first such item to feature a player of Jewish descent."

If he is jewish I would think anything with him on it would be very rare since he had limited playing time.. Here is an old score card from 1885
