There's a gear icon just right of the search box which will bring up the advanced search. The check box is in the section just below the section with what you're searching for.
Yeah, it's a nuisance and a lousy change. While everyone else is trying to get stuff done with as few clicks as possible since studies supposedly show that more clicks/steps for a purchase= people going somewhere else Ebay is adding more.
