peteone thing i do as a bidder on low starting cards is put in the opening bid...lets's say $9.99 knowing that its a $200-$300 card, i know i will get outbid, then come back late in the auction and bid again if it's still in the range i want to pay for that particular card...i'll never put in my max at the beginning unless i'll be out of town on the last day, i've never used a snipe service since there will never be a card that i cant go without...at least one that i can afford.
joann, most auction houses charge roughly 15-20% of the final bid price, so if you have a limit you definitely need to take that into consideration....because that $525 bid just sent you over $600
