Yes it is an original photo Toby.
The photo shows a tremendous amount of silver in the darker parts of the photo which occur over many, many years.
Your photo would be considered a TYPE I photo (by PSA/DNA) which simply means that it was printed off the original negative at or near the time the image was taken, in your case 1925. Which makes it the most valuable of all TYPES as well.
