Default World Series Pins

Can anyone tell me anything about these two world series pins? The Yankees pin is made by Balfour and the Cardinals pin has no markings on the back. The Yankees pin says 33rd World Series and the Cardinals pin says 14th World Series on the bat. Any idea for what purpose they were made and the value?
