What makes the ball valuable is the name Curt Flood as he was the one instrumental in bringing free agency to baseball. It’s a shame Roger Maris wasn’t on that tour as the ball would skyrocket in value. The other interesting fact is the commissioner signed it Bill Ekert as he always signed his name as William.
