I think you are correct, in that since these are internet type crimes, they can have a federal jurisdiction. But local law enforcement is the place to start (and usually finish) with this type of crime. My only hope is that Battlefield is so pervasive the Feds would take a look. For them to get really involved there needs to be something worth their time, quite honestly. Generally a smaller ebay seller won't meet the FBI threshold for taking a case, from my informal, layperson understanding. And only 203 current chances at fraud here
