I'd have to say it's both. But when you think about the Topps virtual monopoly between
1956-1980 it's not surprising. We had Kellogg's, Fleer and a bunch of regional issues that
you usually didn't see unless you lived in that region.
So you had to be an oddball to even seek out these out the non-Topps
cards. I still have some issues of "The Sport Hobbyist" from the early 70s and
like to look through them for all the oddball cards that I still to this day haven't seen.
