'The Book of Baseball' - Check out this wonderful photographs!
I just got the biding restored on this incredible period piece. When I originally purchased it about 2.5 years ago, the binding had all but been destroyed due to severe water damage. The only thing holding it together was duct tape. I think the bindery did a tremendous job restoring the biding while keeping a period look to the book. It really has some tremendous photography in it, which I wanted to share with you all.
The book was published in 1911 by New York P.F. Collier and Son Publishers. William Patten and J. Walker McSpadden edited and compiled it.
The contents cover pages of everything from 'the early days of the game,' 'a review of the 1910 season,' 'the art of pitching,' 'stars and players' and many other topics. In total there are over 150 pages!!
Enjoy!!
