Chuck RI'm with Texas Ted and some others who have responded. When I see an item I want, I send the seller an email letting them know that I'm coming in heavy at the end. It has prevented the auction from ending early on several occasions. I realize sellers can do what they want, but ending auctions early leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I've never done it as a seller and never asked as a buyer. I really don't understand the psychology of it on the part of the seller...is there any reason a prospective buyer would ask to have the auction end early other than his fear that he might be outbid?
