As you all know (apparently except for Joe P.....), old Burt was the catcher and first baseman on the PMC (Pennsylvania Military College) 1902-1903 baseball team. I found this fuzzy picture of him on the internet. He was built like Connie Mack, who also dabbled as a catcher before finding his true calling.
From here, I'm sure someone else can get us closer to Mr. Doyle...
