Default O T, Before I Forget...

Posted By: Rhys

I have been reading a book on past Heisman trophy winners which was made even more poignant lately with it being veterans day. I think just about every Heisman trophy winner from the late 1930's through the early 1940's gave up so much of a sports career to serve their country. People like Nile Kinnick, Tom Harmon, Angelo Bertelli and many others either died, or almost died serving their country. Not that their sacrifice was anything more than the ones made by my ancestors or anyone else's, it just makes you realize how much so many Americans have given up so that we can live in this country and enjoy collecting Sports Memorabilia.
