My favorite football player when I was growing up was Jim Kiick of the Miami Dolphins.
I started seriously collecting cards in 1971 and recall having hundreds , maybe thousands of 1971 Topps Football.
When I rediscovered my cards in 1987 the only cards I didn't still have were those 71 FB.
So, ever since, I have been recollecting them. I am doing 14 sets, low grade or high grade, doesn't matter to me. (263 cards per set)
I have maybe 5 or 6 sets that are full, mainly needing Bradshaw, Greene or some other bigger names to complete them. I also have at least a thousand extras that means I will likely keep going. I doubt that
I will try anything more than 71 full sets, any higher would be crazy.
But I only have about 30 of the 1971 Topps FB #186 Jim Kiick. I would like to get a lot more of those some day...maybe about 870 more before I stop.
That would be a box of 100 ct 9-pockets and one big binder full...sounds pretty cool
