Not pre-war or baseball, but sold a PSA 8 Bill Russell rookie (offline) in early 2015 for $8K. There were no public sales in the year before that, and I had trouble finding a buyer on here at that price for a month.
Next time one sold at auction a couple of months later, it went for close to $30K, and hasn't wavered from there too far in the past two years now - argh!
