Maybe it was produced early in the Reach company's history? For legal reasons (another J. Reach Company?) the glove company had to use another name and Peach was close. Then, after the disagreement was settled (glove maker paid other company for rights to use name) Reach was used from there forward.

Then again, maybe it was an error or a joke. Maybe somebody in the art department either misheard or misread the instructions and put "Peach" on the sign. Later, the error was discovered and corrected after only a few were made. Or, it could have been a practical joke.
