Interesting that your cards have different widths. They certainly seem to have been cut down from a larger card. And Anson on his Prewarcards website shows a card that has a partial horizontal line exactly where it is seen on the 1936 S & S version of the same player.
I only have their fully grown 1936 S & S Game card cousins. Here is the Cuyler card with the normally seen green back and the pretty uncommon tan/cream back. Something that I hadn't noticed before is that the tan backed Cuyler (with his named incorrectly spelled 'Cyler') appears to be slightly taller. A height difference between these Home Run Candy cards and the S & S cards is identified on the Prewarcards website in this article:

Leon, do your cards have a tan colored back like the one seen in my scan? If so, perhaps these were cut down from this tan backed issue?
