I buy type cards that I don't have - most cards are not graded, but if they are I don't crack the cases open (yet).

Grading companies weren't around when I first started collecting - that might have something to do with me not having cards graded. It would be interesting to see percentage of pre-grading co. vs. post-grading co. collectors that use grading services.
