I just read in the paper that Yankee Stadium will erect a plaque reading: "Phil Rizzuto: 1917-2007."

Can't argue with that.

To add; Rizzuto has been known for years as the oldest living HOFer (since Al Lopez died). But Bobby Doerr was born in April, 1918, so if Phil was born in Sept 1918, he never would have held that title.
