Josh K.I will also add that I do not think sgc made a mistake here - they graded the card the first time a 40 due to the pen. The second time, finding nothing to downgrade, it rec'd an appropriate grade for how the card then appeared. My guess is that there was nothing obvious in their examination of the card that would lead to a rejection for alteration - and absent any knowledge that it was the same card (which is the most likely scenerio), there would have been no reason to inquire further.
