They are no different than the plethora of cards that weren't "factory" cut. They look at the dimensions and if they deem them to be large enough, then they get a number, if not, then they usually get an AUT. We don't have to like it, it's just the way it is. There are a ton of cards like this that get graded, including every day strip cards.
