Jeff LichtmanThe only one from this year that I desperately wanted but lost out on was an ebay auction of a Cobb E102 in PSA 5. I was the underbidder of this pop 4 card (only 1 higher in 6). I was aghast as this is, in my view, Cobb's rookie card. Cobb is one of my favorite all-time players (probably top 3-4). Anyway, I offered the winner 2K more than what he won the card for as I wasn't sure one in this grade would come up again anytime soon. The owner of the card turned me down...and about three months later the card in the same grade came up in Mastro's auction. I couldn't believe my good fortune. I won the card and paid $3500 less than what I had offered the previous winner for it. My luck isn't always this good, by the way.
