Judge Dred (Fred)Speaking on the subject of the geographic center of the US... The west coast could arguably be the center of the US if you consider Alaska and Hawaii... Seattle looks kind of central in that respect... ok, tough sell besides I'd rather have it further south, like Southern California.
If you're going to make Chicago the geographic center then there would have to be consideration for St. Louis, Cincinnati or even KC but Chicago is a large hub for United and American (and lets not forget Southwest Airlines out of that other Chicago airport not called O'Hare).
