The most amazing year for me was Steve Carlton's 1972 Season in which he won 27 of the team's 59 wins with a sub 2.00 ERA. Not being a Phillie nor a Carlton fan this one to me is just impressive. I do remember Face's season in 1959 and if I remember correctly his ERA wan't great and he blew a number of leads in which the Pirates came back and won the game.
