I know how to make money by doing that. I could put sub standard cards in the higher grade holders and make a mint doing so... is this an original thought? I remember "when it was a hobby" that nobody would have even thought about doing such a thing.
Just send it back to PSA and eat the shipping costs both ways or hold on to it until the next show you attend where PSA is on-site slabbing cards.
Edited to add - or do what was recommended by others - send it to SGC.
