Dave WilliamsI remember the day my dad about 1973 or so brought me home about 100 cards, nearly all stars and HOF'ers from the early 60's.
He had a friend from work over, and the friend found out that this 10 year old kid collected ball cards. His brother was a big collector, and sent me some of his doubles.
Mantle, Mays, Aaron, Banks, Clemente, Mathews, F Robby, among others.
I've still got some of those cards, all creased up, and with a big letter "D" written across the back.
I've been collecting ever since, and even today, if I find a kid who collects, I've got thousands of 80's and 90's cards to give them, but I always give them at least one 60's 70's player or a beater T 206.
