Default Hypothetical question

Say I had a T202 card that had been cut into three cards (the two ends and the middle). For the sake of argument, say from the cut it's obvious all three were part of the same card originally.

Now say, for display and protection purposes, I wanted to get this card graded (just an authentic grade to keep the card together).

If I send the three pieces to PSA and SGC ... they won't grade this as authentic, correct?

If I put scotch tape on the back ... then both companies will grade it as authentic, correct?

But over time, won't the scotch tape damage the card (at least more so than having no tape would)?

So is there a better way than sticking scotch tape on the back of it to get the grading companies to authenticate a T202 that has been cut into three sections?

Cheers,
Patrick
