I do know that by 1939 Cincinnati based Goldsmith had forged a solid endorsement deal with Vander Meer. They dedicated much of their 1939 catalogue to him, but no mention of a Vander Meer endorsed ball, FWIW... |
Not in the 1940 catalog, though the glove is with a smaller ad. That's the only Goldsmith catalog in that era that I have full scans of to be able to rule out though. May be time to start adding to the catalog library again
