You used to be able to do it, not any more. Even if I put in a large bid on the front end, I am not going to win a card. Period. Too often I have put a $250 bid in early on a $9.99 card only to get sniped and lose on a $252.50 final bid. I concur with the posts which say it is better to put in a lukewarm bid and then snipe with your max bid late.
