jay behrensI understand the theory behind what you are saying, but if you actually believe that they are buying the card again every time another similar card sells when they already own it, then you are confused. You buy something once, period. It's doesn't cost you X number of dollars every time a simialr card sells. Each time a similar card does sell, the owner does a mental check to see if it is worthwhile to sell the card and use the money for something that they feel is more important or more productive, they are not buying the card again. Opportunity cost is merely the decision to buy one thing instead of another or not buy anything at all.
