Default Found an interesting card on Ebay tonight....

Posted By: Brian McQueen

Won this card earlier tonight from Ebay. It appears to be a "coupon" card with it's tab intact from the 20s or early 30s. I did a search on baseballlibrary.com for "S. Gray" and I found that there was a Sam Gray who played for the Browns from 1927-1933 so I would assume that this card was issued during that time.

One interesting observation about the card. If you cut that coupon off the card, you would be basically hacking off a large portion of the card itself including most of the caption (not like a Zeenut which simply has the tab at the bottom). I'm thinking very few examples would have survived over time because if you clip the coupon, the remainder seems that it wouldn't be very desireable to own so it would have just been tossed.

Interested in hearing anyone's thoughts on this issue, it's year of origin or where they came from. Does any other board member have one of these or has anyone seen another example before now?

Any insight is appreciated. Hope it has some value but I figured for 10 bucks you can't go wrong. Thanks in advance,
Brian
