Default A first (for me): Original art used for card

As some may known, I have lately been purchasing a few new Helmar cabinets of HOFers, quite striking, while continuing to also buy/sell/trade vintage stuff. Yes, I can walk AND chew gum at the same time. Charles Mandel, the Helmar guy, often puts up at ebay auction one or two original art pieces every week--the paintings created to produce his cards, usually quite wonderful. Last night, as he's about to introduce what will likely be oversized "Diamond Stars" type cards, he put up an amazing Gehrig original painting used for his not-yet-released card. So I won the the auction. It's 3 x 5 and signed and dated on the back by the artist. He has a couple of 8 x 11 up for sal next week (Speaker and Hack Wilson)....
