Here is true reality from just a few days ago...I had a T206 Larry Doyle graded SGC 88 and sold it for $825, person got a fantastic card for the value. Beautiful card, looked even nicer than the grade....If it had been a PSA 8, the card would sell for $2000-2200. So here's the dilemma, Submit it to PSA in the SGC case, or grab your balls and crack it and submit it raw? If you submit a high grade T206 SGC encapsulated card, good luck getting anything better than 1 grade less, which is about where this Doyle sold for (PSA 7)...Submit it raw, God only knows how lucky you might get, especially with the uncertainty of graders. But, the odds are way stacked against you. You might get a hungover grader that gives it a grade of A....I hate to say this, but I truly believe it's all about who you know....and dare I say pay....
