Not only is the comment about the commons disingenuous, but based on the 5% figure given by Mastro, it's just not true. Do the math and add in the other visible Hall of Famers that are trimmed. I'm coming up with about 50% of the trimmed cards as HOF'ers. Seems to me that Mastro is covering up a deceptive auction description with a big fat lie.

At this point the best thing to do would be to pull the lot, apologize to the consignor, and then relist the group of cards properly in the next auction.
