Julieif it were the same pose of a HOFer, it would be even better. There's a wonderful T222 of a guy 2 feet off the ground--but what if it were Cobb, two feet off the ground? (Guess the Oaks that John mentioned made me think of it).
One problem I have, which others may share, is that, unless I'm building a set, I don't have the DOUGH to buy cards of every Tom, Dick and Harry. I'm happy just getting the HOFers and other favorites.
As for HOFers being dull--why should they be? I think they tend to have more interesting faces and more interesting motions than common players. As for Cobb in the T206 set--I guess nobody had quite caught on yet to what a prick he was. The nasty Cobb shows in the E-145, the T227.
But they don't all have a great sense of humor, and I really appreciated that in some of the cards nominated this time.
