HalleyGator In my 2002 SCD Big Book, there is a listing for the "1916" Globe Clothing Store set (designated as H801-9). The book describes the set as having mirrored the 1916 Sporting News set, and in the "favorite cards" thread I saw Vorthian's PSA 6 Babe Ruth Globe card labeled as a 1916 by PSA.
In the SCD Big Book, the picture that they show of a Globe card is of #192 ART WILSON.
BUT ... this would actually mirror the 1915 set, NOT the 1916 set, since ART WILSON was #192 in the 1915 M101-5 set and #191 in the 1916 M101-4 set.
This is an important distinction to someone like me who is very concerned about collecting the earliest possible card of certain players ... so can someone please confirm for me whether the Globe cards were made in 1915 or 1916??
And what about the other such cards with different backs (Famous & Barrs, etc.)??? 1915 or 1916???
