Good job...you might have something there. As far as the Ty Cobb fielding, I had the same thought, but it doesn't quite make sense, as Ty was of course an outfielder. Up until 1913 he had only played in the outfield, but he did play one game at 2nd base, so I guess it is possible, although the play looks to be at third base.

A few other observations. The catcher in the second card I posted looks awfully familiar as does the batter in the fourth card, and the batter in the third card appears to be a member of the Red Sox.
