and that is because they run the risk of NOT having any OTHER high bidders in the auction...
in which case the buyer's high bid would NOT be pushed up to the MAX.
If I offer to buy a card for $500...
some sellers tell me to just bid on it...
but if NOBODY else bids over $200, then that seller lost $300.
