I like the multi-player rookie cards because I get a perverse kick out of seeing the otherwise "common" players whose biggest claim to fame, through no fault of their own, is having been designated a "future star" by Topps along with someone who really, no foolin',
did become a star, to the extent that "star" is an understatement.
In that sense, my favorite multi-player rookie card is from the 1982 Topps set. It features Bob Bonner and Jeff Schneider...
...but is perhaps best known as the rookie card of Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr, baseball's "Iron Man" of the modern era.
