When I started vintage almost 20 years ago, it was with the intent of collecting a complete set of t206s. Nineteen years in to it, and still about 300 cards short, I wasn't willing to give up on the cards, just change the goal ... all the cards I could find with the rubber stamp of Howe McCormick on the back. So in May of last year, I sold almost 200 of the cards, kept one of each of the 15 back types I had stashed away, and started over with just two cards. With the help of a lot of people on this board, as of this Monday, I'm back up to 35 cards. No idea how many Howe may have ever owned, and will probably never know. But this gives me an excuse to look at just about every card posted either on eBay, B/S/T, and auction houses, and still only have the desire or need to spend occasionally.
