I think this may be a really early image of Maude. Look at the difference between this one and the one at the bottom. The one at the bottom is a much more classic look for Maude - probably from her Western Bloomer Girls days in the early 19-teens - with the big hair, older, etc.
I've never seen an image of her where she looks as young as she does here. I'm not sure I'd go into the 19th Century (although she may very well have been playing with some of the Star Bloomer teams that were active by then), but I would bet a lot that it predates 1910, and probably by several years, at least.
Anyone know when the collar-up look became popular? I might be all wrong on my dates here.
