ESPN lists a top 10 player nicknames & the top one for Brad Boxberger, made me laugh out loud:

Chris Berman had a whole bunch of nicknames he endowed.
My favorite was Bert 'Be Home' Blyleven'
Here are a few others that I find very funny:
'The Human Rain Delay' - Mike Hargrove
current speed-up rules wouldn't allow for that.
'Yard Dart' - Juan Cruz
so labeled by John Smoltz while Cruz was an impossibly thin teammate.
If you are too young to remember what yard darts were, google it....
You will be amazed that such a 'toy' was ever allowed.
...and finally, Jeffrey Leonard, who had a good, not great 14-year career...
Jeff had three nicknames -
HacMan because he swung at so many first pitches ;
One Flap Down for the way he kept his right arm by his side on home run trots.
Jeffrey is a father and a grandfather and he and his wife established the 'One Flap Down Foundation' for cancer treatment. He seems to be a good man - enjoying his retirement (he's my age - 62).
However, Jeffrey's third nickname, which made me laugh the hardest, was given for the many sour-puss expressions (though there are plenty of photos of him smiling).
May I present Mr. Jeffrey Leonard:
