I started my oldest son out at the age of 4 with reprints of T206's and then with the Legacy stuff. I got him plastic sheets and a binder just for his stuff and he loves them. He found a loose box of 1991 Fleer in my closet and has made those part of his collection as well. He loves to see Babe Ruth cards at card shows as he is the only big name he remembers (mostly because of the movies he has seen). I think most boys will want to do what their fathers do so it will come in time I suppose.
