Kenny ColeHe was one of the early authors, Harold Seymour being the other one who comes to mind, who sent me to an earlier baseball era -- an era both good and bad. I always wanted to talk to him about his impressions of those people who were involved in the series whom he was fortunate enough to interview and get answers from. As I understand it, many of the participants wouldn't talk to him.
I wonder how his book would have been influenced (if at all) by the Grand Jury testimony that has since come to light. In any event, he did a great job with what he had and I salute him for that.
